TOURISM
Tourism is a large part of the economy of this area. With both Long Lake & Little Manitou Lake within the region, there are many tourist destinations which include several regional campgrounds, Manitou Springs Resort, Danceland, golf courses, museums, wildlife areas, and much more. Economic Development Officer Christian Boyle acts as a Project Manager for the Watrous Manitou Marketing Association. This Marketing Association is comprised of a number of local businesses which pool their resources to take a regional approach to advertising, continuing to promote Watrous and Manitou Beach as a tourism destination.
